Up for sale is a rare vintage Silvertone 1423 Jupiter (manufactured by Harmony) from the early 1960s in the iconic Charcoal Black Sparkle finish. Found recently in a garage storage.Condition & Electronics:Electronics are functional: The pickups and wiring work. The "Bass" (neck pickup) selection works and sounds great. Some of the switch positions/blender programs are currently not fully engaging or working correctly and will need an electronics check/cleaning.The main issue: The fretboard has completely detached from the neck (glue dried out over the years), which is a common issue for these vintage Harmony-made models. The fretboard itself is fully intact with original block inlays and just needs to be professionally reglued. There is a crack on the white pickguard near the chicken-head switch. What’s included:Sold as a restoration project. Comes with its original vintage chipboard case (red plush interior).Selling AS-IS. Perfect project for a luthier or vintage guitar collector to restore a highly desirable space-age garage-rock icon. Shipping within the US.
