Vintage Girardin MT 31 Mixer

This is a rare compact field mixer from France. Likely built in the late 60’s/early 70’s. Girardin is now most known for their larger field mixers. These larger mixers are often compared to vintage Neve‘s for their rich germanium preamps and robust build quality.
This smaller mixer has 3 discrete silicon mic preamps. It is a 3:1 mono mixer with a headphone amp. The xlr output is mic level.

I used this mixer in studio as a small sidecar to a Girardin MT67. Adorable. It was amazing for a 3 mic, mono drum set up.

The character is very warm and large sounding. Not quite as much detail in the high end as the germanium pre’s found in the bigger models but a lovely character all it’s own.

It can run on batteries but a 12V adapter will be included so you will be good to go. There is an internal power section with leads if you wanted to configure a hard-wired power supply.
