Blue Cat Audio Analysis Pack 6 Metering and Analysis Plug-Ins (Card)

Blue Cat's Analysis Pack is SIX metering and analysis plug-ins in one licence: DP Meter Pro, FreqAnalyst Pro, FreqAnalyst Multi, Oscilloscope Multi, StereoScope Pro and StereoScope Multi. Blue Cat put the saving against buying them individually at $245.

What makes this set different from ordinary meters is that THE MEASUREMENTS ARE NOT JUST FOR LOOKING AT. The 'Pro' plug-ins output MIDI and automation, so a measurement taken here can drive any other plug-in or any MIDI controllable device. That turns analysis into control: you can build your own signal controlled effects, side chaining behaviour that no compressor offers, or have the level of one track move a parameter on another.

DP Meter Pro is the level meter and side chaining tool, combining flexible customisable metering with that MIDI and automation output. FreqAnalyst Pro is a high resolution real time spectrum analyser with a 3D viewer and automation generation. StereoScope Pro is a real time stereo field analyser with multiple views and MIDI output.

The three 'Multi' plug-ins solve a different problem: comparison across tracks. FreqAnalyst Multi puts the spectrum of several tracks on one screen at once. Oscilloscope Multi does the same for waveforms, so you can see and compare what several tracks are actually doing. StereoScope Multi compares the stereo image of several tracks in real time. For phase problems, stereo width decisions and frequency masking between instruments, seeing them on one screen is the whole point.

The two bundles OVERLAP BY EXACTLY THREE PLUG-INS: FreqAnalyst Multi, Oscilloscope Multi and StereoScope Multi are in both. What this pack adds over Crafters is the three 'Pro' versions, DP Meter Pro, FreqAnalyst Pro and StereoScope Pro, which are the ones with MIDI and automation output. Crafters adds Plug'n Script, PatchWork, MB-7 Mixer and Remote Control, which this pack does not include. Neither bundle contains the other.
