This Guild is an awesome vintage player. I purchased the guitar for an album production a few years ago and am ready to pass it along to its next owner. It is in great shape for its age, no repairs, breaks, or damage in it's history.
Neck: Slim profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are wide and polished and comfortable and have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield logos. The original Guild branded Schaller tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. The set- up is exceptional with very low action, no buzzes, and noticable sustain
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body. Stop tailpiece with original vintage Muller bridge. Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & play wear, especially along the edges. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina. The biggest defects are 2 spots where the finish has worn through; On the top due to a player keeping their fingertip there and a finger size spot on the back. Both are shown in the pictures.
Pickups: Original Guild humbuckers. Bridge - 8.56K ohms; Neck - 8.52K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with original black Guild knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '70. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Serial # 151500 dates it to 1977
Comes with original Hard case.
