A loving tribute to a legendary Strat, worn like Rory's own.

The Fender Custom Shop Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster Heavy Relic brings you an exacting recreation of the legendary Irish guitarist's iconic 1961 Strat. Every nuance of Gallagher's trusty workhorse has been captured through meticulous examination and recreation by Fender's elite builders. Whether you're chasing Gallagher's signature blues-rock tones or want to tap into the mojo of a hard-gigging classic, this relic Strat has you covered.

A Relic'd Masterpiece Dripping With Vibe

From its heavily distressed three-color sunburst alder body to the aged chrome hardware, the Rory Gallagher Signature is a relic'd work of art. Every aspect has been purposely aged and worn to replicate the patterns and character of Gallagher's original 1961 instrument. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish is worn down to bare wood in many areas, while the synthetic bone nut and white plastic parts have been artificially aged. Even details like the mismatched Sperzel and Gotoh tuners, white plastic 12th fret dot and slot-head mounting screws contribute to the authentic vibe.

Vintage Tone Shaped by Rory's Hands

As you dig into the neck, you'll find a smooth, resonant playing feel that channels Gallagher's own playing experience. The quartersawn maple neck sports Gallagher's preferred '67 C profile, while the 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard encourages the expressive bending integral to Gallagher's sound. Three custom-wound '60s single-coil pickups serve up authentic vintage Stratocaster tones with clear bell-like chime and gritty snarl when pushed. Combined with the 6-saddle vintage tremolo, you have the perfect platform for channeling Rory's legendary blues-rock chops.

Every Detail Honors a Legend

The Fender Custom Shop's team of expert builders has left no stone unturned in their quest to recreate Gallagher's iconic guitar. From the mint green pickguard to the parchment plastic knobs, every component has been considered. The guitar even ships in a deluxe hardshell case along with a strap and certificate of authenticity. For those seeking a true holy grail guitar, the Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster is the real deal.
