This is an old but great sounding Akai S 5000 sampler. Analogue and digital I/O plus the optional USB board. 72MB of RAM. 64 voices. It also includes the effects board with rebverb etc. The unit is technically in good shape (see notes below) and functional.
I ran some basic test and all worked fine. I can’t test the USB board due to lack of a compatible computer. But there’s no indication it should not work.
Sonically everything seems in perfect condition. Cosmetically the unit is also in good shape.
Known issues: There is one screw missing on the top. The keyboard connector seems a bit bent. And the rotary encoder does not seem to work. (But all data entry can be done via the +/- and arrow keys as well, so functionality is not affected)
