The venerable S2400 by Isla Instruments is a Sampling Drum Machine, Sequencer, and more.

This specific S2400 is forever looking like it’s a month old or something like that, I’ve definitely used it, but everything is 100% functional in every way, smokeless home studio use only, and I originally bought it directly from Brad/Isla. No one else has ever even touched it, and it’s still either basically new looking or very very close to still being new looking.

Bluntly - it’s nearly new looking and a fantastic Sampler and Drum Machine and Sequencer and studio tool in general, plus the S2400 is an *instrument*, really, 8 instruments in fact, and way more, and it’s made very very well, chunky but not oversized, and it has great velocity sensitive pads, and a solid yet simple OS and interface, and it sounds great, and has tons of physical I/O, and more. 

What it’s NOT is a 1:1 copy of an SP1200.. nor is it trying to be... what it IS is a new, modern sampler (8 samplers/voices) and a drum machine and a sequencer that’s all inspired in various ways by an SP1200 - obviously … look at the layout, and its name, but the S2400 doesn’t do that one particular sound an SP1200 is known for, not reallly, just a pretty close approximation of it, nor is the S2400 UI and UX the same as a SP1200, nor does it have mechanical switches but has pads instead.

What it does have is bunch of things the original doesn’t and does a bunch of things the original cant do, and it has significantly more memory than the original, and many other positive differences. This isn’t a “Character Sampler” that sprinkles magic fairy dust all over your tracks, it’s a serious workhorse sampler that does so much more.. it can also be the centerpiece of a setup, or an 8ch audio interface in a pinch, or a sequencer for midi gear, and a lot more.

I’m super disappointed to have to sell it.
