Late 80's EARLY pre-serial number ESP Lynch Purple Tiger. Very rare ebony board. ESP told me they have no records of these, but did say pre-serial and ebony board was very early and only a few were made. The guy I bought it from "claimed" he was a roadie for Dokken and Lynch in 88/89, and got it directly from George who had his pick of early production. I CAN NOT verify this. Maybe it's just a story. He was an incredible player who ripped on this. I only cared that this was the coolest one I've ever seen. George was my favorite guitarist, so I gave the guy my number and said if you ever decide to sell it, ring me up. He threw my number in the case, and a few years later rang me up. Like George's main one, there's a ton of purple in it. Most others have hardly any, they might as well be standard Tigers ...and this yellow isn't blinding like all the ones you see now. Compare it to Lynch's number one photo I included, and then look at others. I've had it over 25 years. I've never played it. It's exactly as how I got it. There's a few chips on it that the guy covered fairly well, but overall aesthetically it's in fantastic shape for a guitar nearing 40 years old, and a track record of being played. I put very good condition because it will need to be set up. Comes with an extra humbucker that came in the case, and case key. Also, the maple neck has some subtle flame as well. Was hard to photograph. I've priced it in between both that are for sale on Reverb. Compare it to those and judge for yourself. This is one cool guitar
