This 7-string is exceptionally comfortable to play

7-string guitars are a breed apart. While some 7-strings are made with longer scale lengths, the PRS SE Custom 24 7-String sports a more-standard 25" scale that keeps everything right where you're used to. It also gives you the comfortable string tension you're accustomed to. Instead of taught, unyielding strings, you get smooth playability up and down the fretboard - perfect for lead work with lots of string bending.

PRS Humbuckers serve up a smorgasbord of tasty tone

The PRS SE Custom 24 7-String is fitted with SE HFS and SE Vintage Bass humbuckers. HFS stands for Hot, Fat, and Screams, which is an excellent description of what this pup does in your bridge position. A powerful pup with equal measures of attitude, authority, clarity, and sparkle, the HFS is ideal for your agressive lead work. The Vintage Neck pickup serves up a warm high-mid sound that's perfect across a range of genres. You control this heady sonic elixer through a volume and a push/pull tone pot, and a 3-way blade.

Custom 24 playability, with fixed-bridge stability

While you may expect to see a vibrato tailpiece on the PRS SE Custom 24 7-String, it sports a fixed bridge - a dream come true if you prefer a hardtail axe. PRS's string-thru-body, plate-style 7-string bridge has a low profile to give you the comfort you need, with the exceptional tuning stability and reliability you can only get from a fixed bridge.
