1970 Fender Telecaster / Stratocaster Hardshell Case, Black Tolex, Red Interior, Poor Condition

This is a 1970 Fender hardshell case in black tolex with a red interior. It is the original case for my 1970 Telecaster and is the Fender Tele/Strat case, so it fits both models. It is in poor condition and is priced accordingly.

All three original latches are present, in good shape, and work properly. The case opens and closes properly. The rear hinge is worn and should be re-nailed. Because of this, the lid no longer stops at 90 degrees and opens to roughly 110 degrees. One corner is damaged, as shown in the photos. The Fender badge is broken and only the letters "Fe" remain. There is tape residue on the exterior from years past. The handle is intact.

The interior is aged to match the exterior. The plush lining is loose along the hinge area and is lifting in one other small spot. The accessory compartment is in good shape. The case has a musty odor. It is still acceptable for holding and transporting an instrument.
