The Trail Rider's single channel delivers two distinct tonal universes through a voice toggle switch — and the difference between them is not subtle. The T57 voice channels the Tweed-era Fullerton circuit of 1957: a Treble and Bass implementation that produces a huge sweep of tones from wonderfully woolly and warm to sharp, cutting overdrive when pushed, with all the organic compression and sag of a cathode-biased Class A circuit breathing through a Celestion A-Type 12" speaker. Flip to V67 and the circuit shifts to a Top Boost-inspired architecture — chimey, more mid-scooped, bright, and edgy in the way that defined the British sound of the mid-1960s, equally at home delivering pristine cleans or harmonic grind. All-tube spring reverb (long tank) adds atmosphere without obscuring note definition, and the built-in power attenuator reduces output from 5 watts down to 1.2 watts — all the way to a whisper — letting you access cranked EL84 character at any volume level. The GO switch brings it all to life.
