- Vintage Kalamazoo KG-22 archtop acoustic guitar, built by Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan
- Believed to date to the late 1930s; no visible factory order number or other internal markings, so we're conservatively listing the date as approximate
- Classic prewar sunburst finish with peaked Kalamazoo headstock and script logo
- Spruce top with maple back and sides
- Mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot position markers
- 16" archtop body with bound top and back
- Original-style trapeze tailpiece, adjustable rosewood bridge and open-back strip tuners
- Tortoise-pattern pickguard
- Wonderful dry, punchy vintage archtop voice — well suited to old-time, blues, swing and early jazz styles
- Presents nicely for a guitar approaching 90 years old, with plenty of honest play wear, scratches, checking and finish wear consistent with age
- Small area of wear/damage to the side as pictured
- Hardware and appointments appear largely original/period-correct; we have not attempted to represent every component as definitively factory-original
- No case; gig bag included
- A great player's example of Gibson's Depression-era Kalamazoo line, offering genuine prewar Gibson construction and character at a considerably more accessible price
