For your consideration is a great 1963 Martin D-18 with the hard work already done. It’s open, responsive, and exactly what you want from a played-in early ’60s mahogany dread.
This guitar was recently professionally serviced by Holger Noltzel, including a neck reset and refret, along with a new saddle. It‘s set up with low action, plays effortlessly and sounds wide open.
Condition:
Very good. Honest play wear consistent with age.
- A couple of side cracks on the lower waist, professionally sealed and stable
- Structurally solid and ready to go
- No other major issues
At some point, someone added a “C.F. Martin IV” signature inside the soundhole. Cosmetic only, no impact on tone or structure.
