Fiberplex Lightviper VRK-1832 Fiber Optical 32x8 STPanel Audio Distribution Head

This appears to be the VRK-1832-S-ST configuration. VRK meaning 5RU rackmount configuration (instead of VIS floor configuration). The ST meaning STPanel Mount optical connectors and the S meaning Fiber Type of 9/125µm Singlemode. Power cable only included (no other cables are included). Minor cosmetic wear, but overall clean. Guaranteed to be in good working order once installed in a complete and compatible system with appropriate configuration. Matching VIM-1832 tail end is available.

The Fiberplex LightViper VRK-1832 8x32 Audio Distribution Head (analog) is used in conjunction with the VIM-1832 or VIM-MY32 YGDAI cards to achieve a 32x8 fiber-optic transport system. Supplied with a pair of transmit/receive LC fiber connectors (different connector configuration options are available). Two optical splits come standard. These splits (transmit only) are presented on a single fiber each. This is the head end of for Stage to FOH or drive snake applications. The VRK-1832 contains 32 mic/line inputs (sends) and 8 analog line level outputs (returns). There is a 3 position gain switch for each input that sets the gain of the mic-pre. The normal settings for these switches are as follows: 0 = line level, 26 = mic level, 12 = high transient / very “hot” mic level.There are 4 +48v phantom power on/off switches with associated on/off LED indicators. Phantom power is applied in groups of 8 inputs. Connectors are 3-pin XLR type. The system features a “control” connection which is a TTL data port which appears on an EtherCon connector. It allows LightViper accessory devices such as the DMX4o (DMX lighting control) or MD3 (RS422/232/MIDI) to be connected to the unit. 48k or 96k operation.
