A 1979 Fender Stratocaster has arrived!!

Serial No.: S896708; based on the pot and pickup dates, this is a 1978 model.

This model is distinctive both visually and functionally, featuring a large headstock, a modern logo, two string guides, a bullet truss rod that allows neck adjustment from the headstock without removing the neck, a three-point neck joint plate, and a neck joint with a built-in Micro-Tilt system that lets you easily adjust the neck angle with an Allen wrench.

This guitarfs pickups consist of three gray bobbins, all with the date g170878,h making them original 1978 parts. The pot dates are g1377739h (x2); although one is obscured by solder, it is determined to be original. The capacitor and 5-way selector switch are also original.

The neck has been refretted and the nut replaced. The fingerboard has been stained to match the body color, and both the back of the neck and the fingerboard have been re-lacquered. The top of the headstock remains in its original condition.

The body is ash; there are traces of touch-up paint (which has softened) in the center of the back, but this does not currently pose a problem.

While there are scratches and dents consistent with its age, playability is excellent. Please consider this opportunity.
