Ferrum ERCO Gen 2 balanced DAC and headphone amplifier in excellent working condition.
The ERCO Gen 2 is a compact, high-performance desktop DAC, headphone amplifier and preamplifier built around the ESS Sabre ES9028PRO platform. It offers both balanced and single-ended headphone outputs, multiple digital and analog inputs, balanced and unbalanced line outputs, selectable gain and true analog volume control.
The unit has been used in a carefully maintained home audio system and operates exactly as intended. It comes from a non-smoking home.
Cosmetically, it presents extremely well overall, with some minor surface marks consistent with careful use. Please examine the detailed photographs, which form part of the condition description. The distinctive brown/orange side panel is Ferrum’s intentionally weathered Corten-steel design; its natural variation and patina are part of the original appearance of the unit.

The ERCO Gen 2 works equally well as a self-contained high-end headphone system, a standalone DAC feeding another amplifier, or a compact preamplifier/DAC controlling powered monitors or a speaker system.
It will be carefully protected and securely double-boxed for shipment. Insured shipping with signature confirmation is required. Local pickup in Astoria, Queens is also welcome.
