B.C. Rich Villain Escape 8 2013 - Glossy

Up for sale is my B.C. Rich Villain Escape 8-string, heavily upgraded and in excellent condition.

At this point, essentially only the wood is original. The electronics, pickups, wiring, switch, tuners, bridge and associated hardware have all been upgraded.

This is a very solid 27” baritone 8-string platform and these guitars are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in this condition and with this level of upgrades.

Upgrades include:

- EMG 81-8XH bridge pickup

- EMG 60-8H neck pickup

- Complete EMG solderless wiring system

- EMG 3-way selector switch

- Custom locking tuners

- Genuine Hipshot 8-string bridge

- Upgraded/replaced hardware throughout

- 24-volt mod

- Stainless steel screws all around

The EMG 81-8XH is one of my favorite pickups for extended-range guitars. It stays very tight and articulate on the low strings while still having plenty of output and aggression. Paired with the 27” scale and Hipshot bridge, this guitar handles lower tunings extremely well without becoming muddy or loose.

The guitar is in excellent overall condition, plays very well, and all electronics function as they should.

It has been kept indoors in a smoke-free, climate-controlled home studio and has been well cared for.

I am selling simply because I own several extended-range guitars and continue to rotate through my collection. My rule is simple: if I am not playing it enough, I sell it.
