The Gibson Thunderbird Bass brings one of Gibson’s most unmistakable bass designs back in its original form, with the kind of presence that has made the Thunderbird a standout since 1963. The solid mahogany body and raised center section give it the look of the classic neck-through design, while the glued-in mahogany neck with a fast SlimTaper profile makes it comfortable and easy to move around. Its 34-inch long scale gives the bass a familiar full-scale feel, and the Non-Reverse headstock paired with Hipshot Ultralite Mini Clover tuners helps keep tuning precise while improving overall balance.

The real character comes through the pair of EB Bass humbuckers, which deliver the deep punch and muscular low end that players expect from a Thunderbird. With individual volume controls for each pickup, you can run either one on its own or blend them together to find everything from focused and aggressive to thick and powerful. A master tone control gives you another easy way to shape the response, while the Hipshot Supertone bridge provides adjustable action and solid intonation for a dependable playing feel.
