What are the SuperRock pickups?

They're Schecter's USA-made vintage-style humbuckers. They're designed to give you a fairly broad range—from warm, clean sounds to punchier overdriven rock tones. The coil-split lets you switch the humbuckers toward a single-coil-style sound, so you're not limited to the thicker humbucker sound.

So, tonally, it's more of a rock/blues/classic-rock/alternative guitar than a specialized modern-metal machine, although it can certainly handle gain.

Why the Stargazer is interesting

The styling is one of its biggest distinguishing features. It's part of Schecter's Stargazer line, which has a somewhat Rickenbacker-inspired retro aesthetic, but Schecter gives it modern playability and hardware.
