2026 - Maloney Guitars full size

Hand built steel string guitar by luthier Dylan Maloney. This guitar sounds and plays great with plenty of low end but not boomy, nice separation between notes, and and sweet rich tone. The top is red spruce, custom x-braced pattern with red spruce bracing. The lining is solid mahogany. The back and sides are Machiche, the binding is curly maple. The sound hole rosette is redwood burl. The fretboard and bridge are Osage orange. The nut and saddle are unbleached bone. Nut width is 44mm and string width at the bridge is 57mm. The neck is cherry with a curly maple spline, and steel truss rod accessible through the sound hole. The fretboard and a a compound radius of 12” at the head to 16” at the body .The body is similar to a Dreadnaught in over all dimensions (20” tall, 16” wide at lower bout, 4 3/4” deep at the butt) and inner volume, but a little nicer shape to my eye and hands. It has work horse open back Gotoh tuning machines. Comes with hard shell case.
