Fender J.A.M. combo, made in the USA in the 1990s. 25 watts into a 12 inch speaker, solid state, and unusually for a combo this size it was voiced for keyboards as well as guitar, so it takes a line-level source without complaint.
Real spring reverb, not a digital emulation, plus onboard chorus and four voice presets. Also has a tape/CD input, an effects loop and a headphone output.
The best thing about it is how little fiddling it needs. Plug in, pick one of the four presets, and it sounds good straight away. No hunting for a usable setting and no fighting the controls to get there, which is exactly what Fender designed it to do and why it still makes sense as a practice, rehearsal or teaching amp.
Tested and working. Every function works, including the spring reverb, the chorus and all four presets.
The pots are a little scratchy, as you would expect of an amp that has been sitting. A light service and some contact cleaner would sort it, and everything works through the scratchiness.
Condition is fair and honest, with no major knocks. Covering and grille as pictured.
A practical and genuinely useful practice or rehearsal amp, and a decent keyboard amp for the money.
Collection only from Beckenham, BR3.
