Most Charvel Model 4s were bought to be played hard. This one apparently missed the memo.

Up for sale is an exceptionally clean 1987 Charvel Model 4, Made in Japan, finished in gloss black.

This guitar remains 100% original, everything works as intended, and its condition is remarkable for a guitar approaching 40 years old.

CONDITION

The gloss black finish remains deep and reflective, with very little evidence of play wear.

The body is extremely clean front and back, with no significant buckle rash or finish wear. Both neck-pocket areas are clean and free of the cracking commonly seen on older guitars.

The neck and rosewood fingerboard are equally clean, and the frets show very little wear.

There is some normal age-related wear/oxidation visible on portions of the JT-6 tremolo hardware. Otherwise, the guitar presents exceptionally clean for its age.

I’ve photographed the guitar carefully so the condition can speak for itself. Additional photos are available upon request.

ORIGINALITY / NOTABLE DETAILS

This guitar is 100% original, retaining its original Jackson pickups, electronics, hardware, tuners and JT-6 locking tremolo system.

All three pickups and individual selector switches function properly, and the original JE-1200 active mid-boost works exactly as intended.

A tremolo arm is included.
