Up for Sale is the Iconic Gibson Everly Brothers Signature model. This guitar dates to 1968 and is in very good over all condition. It Features a spruce top with adjustable saddle and stunning figured maple with a walnut stained finish. This particular guitar is rare in that it has only 1 pickguard original from the factory. Most of these were built with the double guard. The Finish is in excellent shape for an instrument of this age with only a few blemishes here and there and a very small chip on the heel at the body joint. There is some shading around the pickguard as well. Aside from the frets and the pickguard it is original.

It has had the pickguard replaced, the original celluloid pickguard rotted off. The replacement is hand made out of vintage spec original materials, tortoise celluloid. Some of the braces have been reglued and a few cracks due to the pickguard damage have been repaired and reinforced. 1 crack visible in the photos extends from the bottom of the guard down a few inches, the other is under the pickguard itself.

It has been re fretted, with period correct spec fretwire, and is set up and playing comfortably and smooth. It has never had and does not currently need a neck reset. There is plenty of neck angle and saddle height.
