Mint condition Handsome Audio Zulu Passive Analog Tape Simulator. These are discontinued and increasingly difficult to find. A unique transformer-coupled analog processor designed to recreate the saturation, compression, harmonic coloration, and nonlinear character of tape without actually using tape. The Zulu offers multiple tape/deck voicings, Bias, Enhance, Headroom, and Calibration controls, making it capable of everything from subtle analog warmth and mix-bus glue to obvious saturation and lo-fi coloration. Excellent on vocals, drums, guitars, bass, synths, buses, and full mixes. Discontinued, so examples in clean condition are only becoming harder to find.
