Ovation 1627VL-4GC "Glen Campbell" Legend

This is the Ovation 1627VL-4GC Glen Campbell Legend, part of Ovation's signature series built in Korea. It features Ovation's shallow-bowl Vintage Lyrachord body, a solid spruce top, and the classic Ovation round soundhole with epaulette rosette. The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard offer a fast, comfortable playing feel, and the built-in OCP-1K piezo pickup and preamp system make it stage- and studio-ready without sacrificing its full, resonant acoustic voice. Ovation's composite bowl construction also makes it notably resistant to cracking and humidity swings compared to traditional wood-bodied acoustics, a big plus for players who gig or travel.

I bought this guitar brand new during the COVID lockdown. I thought I was having a display model shipped from a GC store to a location near me and expected it to be used. I was quite surprised to find out the guitar was brand new and in a sealed case from the warehouse. The sales guy said that has never happened to him. I have had the guitar professionally set up by a local tech who dropped the action a bit and put a much better saddle in place, which is the same color as the original. The pickup is very good, I play it through a Boss acoustic amp sometimes. I put Elixir 12/53 strings on in July and keep it tuned up and cleaned up all the time. The neck is very fast for an acoustic, it almost plays like a maple Fender neck from my point of view. Feel free to ask questions, I'm happy to respond.
