This is a vintage Yamaha RX5 digital drum machine from 1987. It’s a powerful sample based instrument that allows you to edit the sounds quite deeply and then store those edited sounds in memory so you can call them up when you’re creating patterns. The unit itself is in great cosmetic shape, with a few minor scuffs in the plastic that do not affect functionality. I replaced the internal RAM battery so it should be good for another 15 years or so of storing your patterns and voices. Also included are two cartridges: one RAM5 cart for storing your own patterns and voices, and a ROM cartridge that holds an additional set of samples. The only issue with the machine is that sometimes a couple of the trigger pads can double-trigger a voice. This does not get recorded in the pattern when you are playing in a sequence live, just could be a minor annoyance so figured I would mention it.
