Michael Thames Classical 2022 - Cocobolo with Spruce Double Top

For sale is a 2022 Michael Thames Classical Guitar. This guitar was commissioned directly from Michael. This included strap pins that were installed by Michael. The only change I made was to upgrade the case to a Visesnut Premier Series Classical Case.

This guitar is one of the last that Michael crafted (He retired in June 2026). It has had very limited play time, and the condition reflects this. The Visesnut case made humidity control very easy due to its tight seal when closed. I maintained it at 49% using Boveda humidity packs. There are several string dings on the soundboard (they don't show up in the photos).

This guitar was ordered specifically for playing in standard tuning, as well as DADGAD, Drop D, Open D, and Open G. Thus, it has an adjustable saddle which allowed me to change the action when needed.

Like all of Michael’s double tops, this guitar has a very strong projection. The double top is Englemann Spruce over Cedar.
