A beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find Magnatone Maestro triple-neck console steel guitar from approximately 1955–1957.

This is an impressive example of Magnatone’s mid-century console steels, featuring three necks that allow multiple tunings to remain set up and ready to play—ideal for Hawaiian steel, Western swing, country, and other traditional steel guitar styles.

The instrument was professionally restored by its previous owner with an emphasis on retaining its original appearance and character. The tuner covers were carefully rebuilt to be virtually identical to the originals, rather than replaced with generic modern parts.

Following its restoration, this guitar spent years being actively played in Hawai‘i by its current owner. It has been used as a working musical instrument, not simply stored as a collector piece, and now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

It is complete, fully functional, and ready to play. Cosmetically, it shows scratches, scuffs, and other signs of use appropriate for an instrument nearly 70 years old. I’ve chosen not to disguise that wear. it reflects the guitar’s age and history and gives it the character you would expect from a vintage instrument that has actually been played.
