                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Here's a unique and somewhat smaller Shure microphone with great sound quality. The model SM-62 dynamic cardioid microphone set at Low Z (150 OHMS) which has a warm, smooth tone that you'll really appreciate that works best for broadcasting purposes as it was designed. It comes with an original Shure mic clip and mic pouch. The signal strength on this SM-62 is very strong. Like new with absolutely no issues!

 This is one of the more obscure and underrated mics sold by Shure during the late 1970's and 80's. I believe it was only sold for about 15 years. Production started in the USA and eventually it was moved to Mexico before sales ceased. This is the late 1980's or early 1990's Mexican made example.

 Pic # 2 is from a catalog I have showing the SM-62's characteristics and general use.

 The SM-62 is a very lite weight all metal design that's very rugged. Quite smaller than the standard hand held mic. It's only 5 inches long X 1 1/4 wide at the tip. The SM-62 series has a very modern and classy look. It comes with it's stock silver / grey color paint scheme and has great uni-directional characteristics cancelling out all back ground noise.

  As you can see in the pictures provided there are typical lite signs of wear on the original paint in the form of scratches, tiny paint chips and scuff marks. The Shure logo that encircles the mic shows very lite wear but completely legible. Zero tarnish, odors or deformation on the front grill. The original foam pop filter was replaced with a new one as the original was all but falling apart. The newer one really helps with unwanted feedback from talking or windy conditions.  Let the pics be your guide please. Mic is 100% complete and solid. No loose parts. The mic takes your standard XLR cable which is not included but easy enough to find.

 Mic comes with the original black vinyl Shure mic pouch which is in very nice condition with extremely lite wear and the zipper works excellent. It will protect the mic from any further wear.

 Mic comes with a period Shure mic clip that fits this mic perfectly and it's in excellent overall condition. The clip provides a wide degree of tilt up and down and will screw onto any desk or floor stand.

 This SM-62 is well above average for being a 40 year old microphone and an easy 7 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.
