Aria Parametric EQ PE-10 - MIJ 1980s Silver
One of the first Parametric EQ pedals made for guitar. Works with battery or 9V power plug (not included). Very cool looking pedal. Cuts or boosts gain of specific frequencies. The width knob is sweet because it’s like adjusting the Q of a frequency in a DAW to very wide or very narrow. Pro Tip: I used it to dial out a brittle high end frequency of the ES-2 pickup in a Taylor guitar. Turn the GAIN up, keep the FUNCTION set to the middle setting, keep the WIDTH set to the middle or more narrow and sweep the FREQ knob until you find what you want to cut. Then make the WIDTH more narrow and reduce the GAIN. You’ve just cut the frequency you don’t like in a pretty surgical way.
I’ve found this works more reliably with batteries than the adapter. Sometimes it’s prone to picking up additional 60 cycle hum when plugged in. This can be fixed by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
