Description:

Up for sale is a preowned 2020 Fender Player Lead III Electric Guitar in Olympic White with a hardshell case in excellent condition. This example does have some paint chipping on the body around the neck pocket, as noted below.

The Player Lead III brings back Fender’s short-lived early-1980s Lead III design in a modern Player Series format. It features an alder Lead body, bolt-on maple neck with a Modern “C” profile, pau ferro fingerboard, 25.5" scale length, 9.5" fingerboard radius, and 22 medium jumbo frets. Electronics include a pair of Player Series Alnico 2 humbuckers with master volume, master tone, a 3-way pickup selector, and a second toggle for coil-splitting the neck or bridge pickup. Hardware includes Fender vintage-style “F” tuners and a 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail bridge with block saddles.

This example is in excellent condition overall and plays great, with the main cosmetic note being paint chipping on the body in the neck pocket. The Olympic White finish, black pickguard, and offset Lead body shape give it a cool, slightly off-the-beaten-path Fender look, while the HH layout and coil-split switching make it more versatile than a standard single-coil offset. A hardshell case is included.
