J MARCARIO MODEL CLASSIQUE 55FN CONCERT GUITAR, ALL SOLID WOODS

This is a guitar from the Atelier Classique workshops in South-central France.   It is one of the guitars from their concert line, hand-made with a carefully chosen solid Canadian Cedar top and solid Indian Rosewood back and sides.  The woods are beautiful; its lovely figuring and tight golds and red grains shine.  Beyond its beauty the major attribute is the guitar’s sounds, with bell-like trebles, deep basses and melodic mid-tones. There is absolutely no muddiness, the mid-tones are brilliant with excellent projection.  The top is a select tight grained solid Canadian Cedar. The guitar has a bone nut and saddle, with a Rosewood heel cap, bridge, and head piece. The neck also has a reinforcing strip in the back. Lovely wood purfling, beautiful distinctive rosette, with detailed pinstriping along top, bottom, and back highlight the guitars beautiful body.   So that it shows at its best this handsome, elegant guitar is finished with a lovely deep high gloss.  

The solid Canadian Cedar top adds to the superior projection producing traditional warm tones that produces full brilliant trebles that ring distinctly. The beautifully solid Rosewood back assists in delivering deep basses and a full low range of tones. The woods have beautiful grains and patterns. The Rosewood is deep colored, looks luxurious, and is just a pleasure to the eye.  

The top-quality gold tuning gears are outstanding, with easy turning machine-heads.  These are tuners that stay in tune. 

The J. Marcario Concert model Classique 55FN is a pleasure to hold and play.  The quality of workmanship is exceptionally high. It is designed as a first-tier concert model, a guitar to be seen and played onstage.  It is the most beautiful of all of my guitars.  Hand built in the traditional Antonio de Torres seven fan/bracing system, with a slim neck that is easy to hold and play. It is pleasure to listen to, with a sound quality which will only get better as the woods continue to mature.

Please note:  All of my guitars have been maintained in a room kept at 70 degrees Fahrenheit with 76% humidity.

Why am I selling?  I am 92 and have reached the end days of this portion of my earthly journey.  Before departing I am attempting to do a number of things.  Chief amongst those is divesting my many possessions, of which I have 32 guitars that I have collected over the past 75 years.  Some of these I am passing on to grand and great grandchildren and a handful of family and friends.  The rest I hope to place in the hands of aspiring young guitarists.
