old school legendary workhorse, jackson 658a, the top of the line (updated) model, w/ dual power supplies, works! rare find
nos 6av6 (gas tube) installed, + has 7 and 9 pin socket savers, yet can use a cleaning/deoxit of all sockets/case due to age
the bottom right indicator light will need to be re-soldered (see photo) + 2 oe screws are included due to case warpage
the case is complete/original w/ 658a tag on back, and roll chart is complete + functional, case is dusty, handle works
this classic utilizes filtered dc to establish the tubes operating point, then measures the ac component of the plate current
this unique gm output test measures the entire linear curve (eg-ip), w/ up to 250v applied on plate and screen grid circuits
w/ up to 150ma. or w/ rectifier circuits (250ma in full wave), grid leakage 80megohms sensitivity + rejection of 15megohms
+ features leak/short/gas/life tests, and the power supply passed w/ over 250v, a great survivor for tlc restore refurbish
