Framus is a German guitar company that was started in 1946 and is now owned and operated by Warwick GmbH & Co Music Equipment KG, in Markneukirchen, Germany.It captures the expressive, touch-sensitive chime of a boutique Vox AC30 or Matchless on channel one, paired with a much heavier, modern overdrive/lead channel on channel two. I bought this new in 2006 and it has remained babied in a smoke free A/C controlled studio all its life. The finish is nearly flawless with the exception of a couple of thumb size spots where the clearcoat is lifting where the tongue and groove joints come together which can be ratified with some wood finish coating.I owned a business that sold 100 different varieties of exotic hardwood and this is the most beautiful Bubinga I have ever seen, that’s partly why I bought it.
