An absolute specimen of a guitar. Put simply, if you're someone who loves the road-worn relic aged look of Fender's Custom Shop instruments like me, then this is your girl.
This Johnny Marr signature Jaguar started its life as a 2025 model in Olympic white, and was immediately sent to the wizards at MJT Aged Guitars in Carthage Missouri to be professionally relic'd by their luthiers.
I'm a sucker for the worn look and was frustrated with the limited selection of Jaguars offered by Fender's custom shop. The Marrguar is one of Fender's best Jags and has all the upgrades and modifications you could ask for as dialed in by the man himself, making it the most playable and best sounding Jag you'll find. All of the original specs remain and are as pictured by the spec sheet in the photo carousel.
MJT did an amazing job aging the nitro finish and hardware on this instrument, and it will only continue to get better with time. Certainly you may be thinking to yourself: I too can just buy a stock Marrguar and send it to MJT for less than what I'm asking. And yes, while entirely true, I'll say that it took a year's time from start to finish for them to get to this project and for the aging work to be completed. So the question is really: what is your time worth to you.
I'd also like to point out that this guitar was additionally set up by legendary guitar tech and luthier Eric 'Chaz' Czechanski out of his shop inside the famed Sound City recording studio in Van Nuys, California. Put frankly, I fully believe you will not play a better guitar than one set up by this man. He went through with a fine tooth comb and fully dialed this instrument in, including the application of a light thread glue on the saddles to elimante any buzzing famously associated with almost every Jag or Jazzmaster out there. I had Eric put on .9's for me making this guitar almost effortless to play. That said, I'm happy to offer a two week return window for this guitar if you don't completely agree. Ships in its original hardshell case with all the case candy included.
So, if you're into the Johnny Marr Jag, but also love the vintaged look of Fender's Custom Shop, this is quite literally one of the only combinations you'll find for sale anywhere.
Thanks for looking, and feel free to reach out with any questions!
