Vintage 1940s Shure 55 'Fatboy' Dynamic Microphone, works w/stand & cable (F1)

     Offering a vintage 1940's Shure Brothers Model 55 'Fatboy' Dynamic Microphone. This is one of the real true classics when you're thinking of vintage microphones. The 55 series was introduced in 1939 and called "The Fat Boy." Over the decades, the Shure 55 has taken its place in history as the world's most recognized microphone. This is one of the earlier 55's, specifically designed for broadcasting, and is in generally nice condition, especially with the original screen cloth. Only the marker's badge on the grip portion has faded from handing. Most importantly, testing responds with a strong signal which you can hear when you check out the voice sample on the listing video. Its audio profile favors midrange with some bass roll-off. This sale includes a new cable adapter, (3 pin Amphenol to male XLR plug,) plus the basic display desk stand.
