Vintage Japanese Aria Les Paul Custom, built at the renowned Matsumoku factory. Completely original.
Specs:
- Mahogany body with carved maple top
- Set mahogany neck
- Rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets
- 24.75" scale
- 2 Alnico V humbuckers
- 2 Volume / 2 Tone / 3-way switch
- Tune-O-Matic bridge & stop tailpiece
- Gold hardware
The guitar shows normal signs of age.
The body binding has the typical “rotten binding” found on some vintage Japanese guitars. It was professionally stabilized by my luthier before any material was lost. It is now stable and complete, with vintage yellowing and some cosmetic cracks. The neck binding is fine and required no intervention.
A great example of vintage Matsumoku Japanese craftsmanship.
