2014 Martin 000-18 in Natural, all original and in excellent condition, with light player's wear that's normal for a 12 year old guitar and nothing that stands out. 2014 is actually a nice year to have, since that's when Martin reworked the Standard Series and brought a lot of the old school details back to the 18s. Solid Sitka spruce top with forward shifted scalloped X bracing and aging toner, solid mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck in the Modified Low Oval profile with the Performing Artist taper, which is slim and easy up the neck without feeling thin in the hand. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, 1.75 inch nut, 24.9 inch scale, dovetail neck joint, tortoise pickguard, the big old style Martin logo on an East Indian rosewood headplate, and nickel open gear tuners with butterbean buttons. The 000 body is the sweet spot of the Martin lineup, small enough to be comfortable on the couch and big enough to hold its own with a pick, and the mahogany gives it that dry, woody, focused voice with clear trebles and a punchy midrange that sits beautifully under a vocal and records really well. Comes with the original Martin hardshell case.
