When you open the case of this Fiesta-red gem, you’re immediately reminded of Gary Moore’s Stratocaster just by looking at it. ...and that feeling continues the moment you pick it up: a wonderfully modern playing feel thanks to the flatter neck with a “Modern C” profile, a 12'' fretboard radius and the fast Narrow/Tall frets. Master Ron Thorn has created an instrument with truly outstanding playability. And the sound is equally impressive across the board — not only is the guitar extremely resonant, but it also captivates with its “Handwound Tomatillos.” These special singlecoils, which reproduce the authentic sound of aged Alnico V magnets from the 1950s, deliver an absolutely authentic vintage sound with wonderful tonal clarity and purity — extremely bell-like, percussive and sparkling with a certain amount of high-end chime. This top-of-the-line instrument is thus capable of handling a wide variety of musical styles. A lightweight, sorted alder body, a deep-dark rosewood fingerboard and a wonderfully heavily reliced “Fiesta Red” finish, which has been given an extremely attractive vintage patina through meticulous aging. Countless hairline cracks, small and larger imperfections, as well as paint wear in the key areas. We are delighted to offer you this unique Stratocaster in top condition.
