1964 Airline Lap Steel made by Valco- Black

1964 Airline Lap Steel Guitar, manufactured by the legendary Valco company (makers of Supro and National). This instrument is complete with its original semi-rigid chipboard shell case. Verified by its headstock serial number plate, this piece was manufactured during Valco’s golden era in Chicago. It features the classic deep black finish, geometric art-deco style fingerboard, and the highly coveted Valco single-coil pickup—famous among slide and blues players for its raw, gritty, and high-output tone.Key Details & Condition:

• Year / Provenance: 1964 by the serial number stamped on the original metal serial plate on the back of the headstock.
• Cosmetics: Good vintage condition. The fragile raised plastic "Airline" script logo is present but cracked and loose. There are some dings in the wood consistent with wear over the years.
• Hardware: original, including the control knobs, bridge assembly, and strip tuners. strings probably need to be changed at this point.
• Electronics: Original untouched wiring and pickup. Volume and tones taper cleanly without excess noise.
• Case: Includes the original vintage black chipboard case in functional condition But pretty rough.
