Camco Chanute 5x14 Silver Sparkle Aristocrat Snare Drum

Up for sale is a beautiful early 1970s Chanute Era Camco Silver Sparkle 5x14” 8-Lug Aristocrat Snare Drum. The wrap is original and in excellent condition and the bearing edges are in great original condition as well. The interior factory white paint is present as well. The tension rods, chubby washers, mounting screws, butt plate, drum key holder, Camco badge, & worm drive damper/muffler are original as well. The lugs function properly but do show cracking in the casing near the swivel nut inserts as well as some swelling/deformities, especially on the bottom (resonant) side of the lugs. I have provided close up photos of the bottom side of each lug in this listing so please review those photos.

The Aristocrat snare throw-off is missing but has been replaced with a more reliable Roger’s Clockface snare throw-off which uses the same hole spacing as the Camco throw-off, so no extra holes were drilled in the shell. The snare strainer, hoops, snare wires, and drum heads are the only non original components on this drum.

This drum sounds incredible and these don’t come up for sale often so don’t miss this one!
