The Mooer 019 UK Gold PLX Micro Preamp is a compact pedal designed to replicate the preamp section of a Marshall JCM800-style amp. It provides gain stages and tone shaping that can push a clean amp into overdriven territory or serve as a standalone preamp into a power amp or FRFR speaker. The controls are straightforward with gain, volume, and a three-band EQ for dialing in the classic British rock sound.
At 300mA current draw, it requires a dedicated 9V DC center-negative power supply. The small footprint makes it easy to fit on crowded pedalboards while still delivering the headroom and dynamics associated with higher-wattage tube preamps.
