This pedal is a faithful recreation of the Schaffer-Vega Diversity System wireless unit used by Angus Young, David Gilmour, and EVH. It combines optical limiting, EQ expansion, harmonic clipping, and a boost circuit in one analog box. The result is increased string separation, percussive attack, and added sustain without digital artifacts.
The controls are straightforward: a single knob adjusts the amount of boost and limiting. It runs on 9-12V center-negative power or a 9V battery and includes a line buffer to maintain signal integrity through long cable runs.
