For sale is my 1982 Peavey T-15, serial number 01002145, made in Meridian, Mississippi, USA during the classic era of Peavey's American guitar production. Comfortable short scale player, with a great range of tone. Used for years in a local church band.

The T-15 is one of the more distinctive instruments from Peavey's highly regarded T-Series. Introduced in the early 1980s, it was designed as a compact, short-scale electric that would be easy to play while retaining the substantial construction and innovative electronics for which the USA-made Peaveys became known.

This example features a natural-finish hardwood body, maple neck and maple fingerboard, and a comfortable 23.5-inch short scale. The shorter scale gives the guitar a noticeably different feel from a standard Strat or Tele, with easy fretting and string bending.

A particularly interesting feature of the T-15 is its pair of Peavey Super Ferrite single-coil blade pickups. These high-output pickups have a strong, distinctive voice and are a big part of the appeal of the early Peavey T-Series guitars.

The T-15 has sometimes picked up the nickname “Mississippi Mustang” because of its American manufacture, compact body and short-scale design. It is a genuinely unusual vintage American guitar rather than simply another Strat- or Les Paul-style instrument.

At more than 40 years old, this guitar shows the normal signs of age and use associated with a vintage instrument. Please review the photographs carefully for the exact cosmetic condition. (Note small wood blemish on back side of the top horn.) Includes hard case (not original) as well as a very nice BOSS suede strap with locks that came with the guitar.

The 1982 serial number #01002145 places this example very early in the T-15 production period, making it an interesting piece of Peavey history as well as a very playable vintage USA-made electric guitar.
