1960’s Lyle 26.5” Scale Baritone Electric Guitar Redburst MIJ Japan Conrad Burns Style RARE Model

Rare model. I’ve had a few of these baritone models labeled CONRAD and I’ve owned dozens of Lyles over the years but I can’t recall ever seeing this baritone model labeled as Lyle before.

String nut measured to 12th fret is approximately 13.25” long. when that length is doubled to the bridge saddles it measures approximately 26.5”. This measurement may be slightly off by an 1/8th inch or so but it’s roughly 26.5-26.75” scale.

Listed as FAIR condition on account of the intermittent electronics and tuners. Good news is, all the electronics are working. Each pickup and its corresponding ON/OFF rocker switches are working. The volume and tone controls work as well. The small switch is working and it acts like a boost/cut Or rhythm/lead switch. One setting thins out the output and the other boosts the output for fuller tone. The issue seems to be something with the wiring as it crackles and cuts in/out occasionally. Probably a ground wire issue or something. See my video demo. Once I started playing, the guitar sounded great.

The tuners work as well but it looks like one of the buttons is slightly different and possibly a couple gears.The tuners also slip a bit when tuning up but seemed to stay in tune once tuned.

Missing tremolo arm (reprod available on EBAY from seller EZPZ). Missing a bridge adjustment screw but bridge is still adjustable.

There are dings dents scratches paunt chips and marks as shown but overall this guitar looks pretty nice for its 60 years.

Strings are new. I don’t remember if I used 11’s or 10’s on this, but they are guitar strings and not baritone.

No gig bag or case but guitar will be packed safely and shipped quicky.
