Acoustic Classical Guitar Model CY140 - Cedar top – Jacaranda/Brazilian rosewood Back/sides - Made in Japan - 1981 - Made by Master Luthier Kazuo Yairi.
A classical guitar with nice looks and a nice sound.
I am the original owner of this guitar and purchased it Brand New in 1981 from a local guitar Store.
Although It played for many lesson sessions for several years, I have taken good care of it and have always viewed as a treasure.
As you can see from the pictures it is in excellent condition.
I have researched the specifications:
Definitely a solid cedar top
mahogany neck with a center strip
wood body binding
nice marquetry around the top & sound hole
Gold tuners with pearloid buttons
Original hard shell case included – also in excellent condition
As I remember it was advertised as Jacaranda back and sides- from my research that seems to be equate with Brazilian rosewood.
Jacaranda has been used as a common name for both Brazilian Rosewood and is species of Brazilian Rosewood
Based on my research it is unclear whether the back/ sides are laminated
No mater this guitar has an excellent sound & vibe and plays nicely
