The Silicon is an exact clone of a Cornish P-2 pedal from 2013. We painstakingly reverse engineered the original and replicated it using the same board flow and component layout.
The Silicon uses four hi-gain stages to create tight distortion & fuzz tones with harmonically rich mids and seemingly endless amounts of gain. The design sits firmly in the ‘Muff-insprired’ camp, but with a tailored tone control that passively attenuates high frequencies without sacrificing midrange and note-separation clarity.
It doesn’t get all mushy like a Muff and sounds amazing through any quality valve amplifier!
