Bright Onion Pedals Custom Active Remote A/B/Y Switcher - TRS Control - 2023

Up for sale is a custom Bright Onion Pedals active remote A/B/Y switcher in Excellent condition.

This unit was custom-built to provide remotely controlled A/B/Y routing through a TRS switching connection. It can route one input to Output A, Output B, or both outputs together, while allowing the switching state to be controlled from a compatible external switching system.

I originally commissioned it so my pedalboard controller could recall amp-routing states automatically when changing presets. I used it with a One Control Caiman Tail Loop, but the box itself is not specific to the Caiman; its remote control is handled through the TRS switching jack.

Remote Switching

• TRS remote-control connection

The builder described the active design as preventing signal loss when the input is split to both outputs. The transformer-isolated B output was incorporated to help prevent ground-loop hum when running two amplifiers.
