Diamond (formerly DBZ) Monarch EX 2017 Ice Blue Quilt Top w/Factory Hardshell Case

Looking to downsize my collection. Selling this beautiful 2017 Diamond Monarch EX in Ice Blue finish.

To provide some context, DBZ Guitars was founded in 2008 by Dean B. Zelinsky (founder of Dean Guitars) and Jeff Diamant (Diamond Amps). The company rebranded to Diamond Guitars in 2013 after the departure of Zelinsky. In 2018 (a year after this guitar was made), Diamond was acquired by Mountain High Holdings LLC and was restructured. As a result, the Monarch EX is still up for sale on their website (for around $1,200) but this particular 2017 variant is no longer being produced.

This guitar was manufactured in Korea at WMI. It plays flawlessly, has a fresh set of D'Addario 10s, and is in great condition with no functional issues.

As with seemingly all of these guitars in ice blue, the clear coat has yellowed over time to more of a faint green than blue. The nickel hardware also has some cloudiness to it.

Included with this guitar is the original Diamond hardshell case, custom made for the Monarch models. The case is a faux lizard-skin that has some outer wear due to normal use, but the case integrity is still 100%. The original leather handle wasn't made that well and wore down with use. I replaced it with a carabiner/tie-down setup that's been working for me, but really anything would probably work. The tie down is rated for up to 800 lbs., not sure about the carabiner.
