Vintage Correct Parts is proud to offer a killer:

1963 Gibson ES-175

1963 is a fantastic year for vintage Gibson guitars - this incredibly cool 175 was made during the heart of the "magic years" of American guitar craftsmanship, by the same hands in the same year as the highly coveted ES-335's, SG / Les Pauls and others!

This example absolutely sings.   The tone woods used in Kalamazoo during this period are unmatched in terms of tone and resonance.   This is all thanks to 60 year old Honduran mahogany and the vintage Rosewood board and old growth Michigan maple body. Vintage player-grade guitars are getting harder and harder to find as the vintage market has soared in the last 2 years.  With all original examples of these now pushing $12-15k, you'll be hard pressed to EVER find another clean 175 from this era for this price.  Don't miss it - we have only one - and once it's gone, it's gone for good!

This example was clearly gigged, gigged and gigged some more over several decades. The finish is well-worn in all the right places. Most of the finish is played-off the back of the neck, which feels incredible. There is arm-wear on the upper bout. Plenty of finish-checking. The vibe on these naturally played-in guitars is impossible to replicate!

  • This has the original stunning well-worn sunburst finish throughout - no refinish, no overspray
  • No cracks, No breaks and No repairs
  • Neck set is solid, action is great.
  • WIDE 1 and 11/16th inches at the nut with a great medium neck-carve.
  • Truss Rod functions perfectly
  • Gibson "57 Classic" PAF humbucker installed decades ago - sounds fantastic!
  • Original tone pot and wiring, newer volume pot.
  • New / Aged Period correct Kluson Single Line tuners installed
  • Serial number of 100065 dates this to very early 1963.
  • Original rosewood bridge and base.
